Bringing colour to the lives of people with learning disabilities

Kangaroos is a registered disability charity based in Mid Sussex providing a range of fun, inclusive social and leisure activities in our local community all year round for children and young adults with learning disabilities and additional needs. We enable them to have a social life with their peers and give them opportunities to enjoy a wide range of activities, supported by our experienced staff and volunteers.

Very impressed by the ethos. Wonderful to see my little granddaughter having such fun at the family days.

Update on clubs and activities

We have now tentatively re-opened some of our clubs and face-to-face activities in line with Government guidance. Numbers are being restricted to ensure the safety of staff and attendees. We hope to resume normal services as soon as it is safe to do so. In the meantime, we will continue to offer a virtual activity programme to all members.

The Health and Wellbeing of everyone associated with Kangaroos is our priority, especially given the vulnerable nature of our members. We will continue to closely monitor Government advice and guidelines regarding the protection of vulnerable young people from Coronavirus.

Support for our Members, Staff and Volunteers

We encourage our members, staff and volunteers to support each other, and continue to communicate through our private Facebook group. If you need help accessing this, please get in touch via the contact form on our website.

We will continue to develop ways to interact with our Kangaroos family, and will keep you updated directly as and when there are any changes to our support services.
