We had a great time at Alton Towers when we took a group of 15 young people of mixed ages with additional needs on a Memory of a Lifetime trip. The highlights of course were the rides, as well as the Alton Towers Rollercoaster Restaurant where a mini roller coaster brings you your dinner! We also enjoyed the evening entertainment, dancing the night away at Splash Landings Hotel at Alton Towers Resort.
After a busy morning at the waterpark, we headed back home with lots of happy memories of this fantastic trip.
2019 is a very special year for Kangaroos, as we are celebrating our 25th anniversary. To mark this we have been running our Memory of a Lifetime Campaign to support all of our young people to participate in an activity that they will remember for the rest of their lives.
Eight young adults with learning disabilities and eight support staff recently returned home after their magical memory of a lifetime trip to Disneyland, Paris. We packed in so much, enjoyed some wonderful experiences and made some fantastic memories in our two days at Disneyland.
Thank you to everyone who helped us along the way to make this trip an amazing one – this is our very first Kangaroos’ continental trip away!
All of our young people on the trip were so happy to meet Mickey Mouse himself. Thank you to Eric from Disneyland who arranged this meet up for us. We are now planning and looking forward to our next trip to Disney in August when we will be taking 22 children and young people.
If you would like to support our Memory of a Lifetime Campaign to give Kangaroos members more amazing memories, please make a donation here.
Thank you to all of our supporters who have generously donated to make this our best year yet.
