Kangaroos provides short breaks and activity clubs for people with learning disabilities. We are committed to supporting people with learning disabilities for their whole lives.
We run regular after-school clubs and evening activities and days out at the weekends and during school holidays all year round. The safety of all those attending our clubs and activities is paramount and our well trained staff are all very experienced in supporting young people with learning difficulties and those with additional and complex needs.
The type of clubs and activities we offer are varied and designed to satisfy a wide range of interests and preferences. They include sports and craft sessions, trips out to the cinema, theatre, local restaurants and to many other local attractions. Our help is targeted to younger children, teenagers and young adults.
Above all we want the children and young persons we support to have fun and enjoy themselves at our clubs and activities. Our aim is to provide a supportive environment where our young people can develop social and life skills to help build confidence, self esteem and independence. The short breaks provide valuable respite for parents and carers while giving them peace of mind that their young person is in a safe and supportive space.
